Job Vacancy : Professional Support Manager

Brief

The (initially) part time role (2/3 days per week) is to provide a wide range of day to day professional support to our busy team of solicitors. Ideally you will have experience of working in a legal environment, with a keen interest in the law but not necessarily practicing it. You will have a strong academic background in law, with an outgoing personality who is comfortable working and communicating with a busy team of professionals. The role may suit an LPC graduate who no longer wishes to qualify as a solicitor (please note this role is not a route to qualification!), or a qualified solicitor who no longer wishes to fee earn.

You will form a key part in the implementation of the firm’s business plan, working directly with the managing partner, to help deliver the high levels of professionalism and customer service our clients have come to expect.

This will include the gathering and collating of feedback from fee earners to contribute to the continuous improvement of the services delivered.

Every day will be different and might include:

Research: preparing briefs for fee earners on a particular point of law or procedure

Drafting: writing articles and news items for publication on the firm’s website and the wider press

Organising: helping with arrangements for the firm’s marketing initiatives

Training: providing updates to fee earners on the latest developments on law and practice

Managing: monitoring internal procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR, AML, cyber security etc.

Preparing: assisting fee earners at busy times with large disclosure exercises and preparation of trial bundles

Feedback: meeting with clients to review delivery of SLA commitments

Compliance: Implementing systems to ensure staff compliance with the firm’s Lexcel office manual
